Mytrah Energy to invest Rs30,000 cr to develop wind power

Hyderabad: Wind energy producer Mytrah Energy Ltd said on Wednesday that the company plans to invest Rs30,000 crore over the next five years to build 5,000 megawatts (MW) of wind power assets.
“We have invested around Rs2,400 crore so far and plan to invest a further Rs2,000 crore in the next one year,” said Ravi Kailas, chairman and chief executive officer of Mytrah. “We will increase our capacity to 610 MW by middle of next year.”
The Hyderabad-based company has a total installed capacity of 316 MW.
Mytrah Energy, formerly known as Caparo Energy, is listed on the London Stock Exchange’s Alternative Investment Market (AIM).
