Sasken posts 50-60% rise in FY08 net profit
MUMBAI: Software firm Sasken Communication Technologies Ltd. expects net profit to rise by 50% to 60% in 2007-2208 on cost reduction, chairman Rajiv Mody said. He said revenue for the next year are also expected to climb by 30% to 35%. “Net profit should improve next year as the cost base comes down," he said on the sidelines of a Nasscom conference. “There is considerable network equipment manfacturing that is happening and we are focused on the communication sector." Operating profit margins would improve by 2% to 24 % of revenue, he said. Operating margins have been going down, from 27.7% in the third quarter of the last fiscal to 22.9% this fiscal.
