GMR Infrastructure’s losses widen in Q3

Firm posts net loss of Rs.217 crore in the three months ended December from Rs.107 crore in the year-ago period

Bangalore : GMR Infrastructure Ltd’s net loss more than doubled to Rs.217 crore in the three months ended December from Rs.107 crore in the year-ago period. This follows a Rs.179.30 crore net loss in the quarter ended September.
The company has businesses in the airports, power, roads and EPC sectors apart from urban infrastructure. GMR Infrastructure operates four airports in three countries—India, the Maldives and Turkey—apart from six power-generating stations and 10 highway stretches.
The company’s income from operations in the December quarter stood at Rs.235.6 crore, a slight decline from Rs.237.1 crore in the September quarter, but an improvement over the year-ago figure of Rs.218 crore.
