Highlights
•8th match: India vs Zimbabwe at Leicester
The match saw a record 90 extras (51 from India). Andy Flower (68, not out) and Grant Flower (45) were Zimbabwe’s top scorers.
•26th match: South Africa vs Zimbabwe at Chelmsford
Zimbabwe stunned South Africa with some hostile bowling and electric fielding. Neil Johnson (3/27) and Heath Streak (3/35) put South Africa out of the game with their opening spell. Despite some late recovery from Shaun Pollock (52) and Lance Klusener (52, not out), South Africa fell short by 48 runs. Earlier, man-of the match Johnson (76) and Murray Goodwin (34) helped Zimbabwe reach 232.
•29th match: Bangladesh vs Pakistan at Northampton
The third big upset of the tournament, the match triggered a match-fixing controversy which took the sheen off Bangladesh’s 62-run win. Chasing 224, Pakistan could not recover from a disastrous start of 42 for 5 and were bundled out for 161.
• 2nd semi-final: Australia vs South Africa at Birmingham
