Cooking with Lounge | Tofu treat

BRAISED SPINACH AND TOFU
Serves 2
Ingredients
80g silky tofu
80g fresh spinach
5g garlic
1 tsp oil
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp light soy sauce
1/2 tsp dark soy sauce
1/2 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp pepper
1 tsp veg broth powder
1 tsp cornflour
50g vegetable stock
Spring onions, chopped, for garnishing
Method
Wash and clean the spinach, blanch for 10 seconds, strain and keep aside.
Heat oil in a pan, add garlic and sauté. Put in the stock into the pan and add salt, pepper and sugar. Put in the light and dark soy sauces while stirring. Add a touch of cornflour and a teaspoon of veg broth powder.
Stir for about 2 minutes or till the gravy thickens, add the silky Japanese tofu and spinach.
Serve on a platter. Garnish with chopped spring onions.
