Hammacher Schlemmer’s Digital Camera Swim Mask is both a mask for snorkelling or backyard swimming, and a camera, leaving your hands completely free except when you want to press the shutter button. The camera mask, priced at about $100, shoots 5-megapixel stills and videos with VGA (640x480 pixels) resolution at 18-25 frames per second. The built-in 16MB memory can hold up to 45 stills or 53 seconds of video, but a slot for a Micro SD memory card lets you add up to 8GB memory. The two AAA batteries required are not included, but a USB cable and PC and Mac software are.
The camera mask can be used at depths down to 15ft. Any deeper, and you’ll probably need more than just a swim mask, anyway.

Work
Working with multiple monitors has its advantages: More applications can be managed at a glance. Check out Samsung’s SyncMaster 2263DX ($550). It mates a 22-inch high-resolution (1,680x1,050 pixel) monitor?with?a 7-inch, 800x480 sidekick display (ideal for, say, an inbox or a chat window) that mounts above or to one side of the larger screen. The small display can also be detached and used independently. The main display has high-definition HDMI and DVI digital inputs, and VGA input for analogue video.
