Nature lovers will admire the artistry of this US-based porcelain company
Nature of work: Franz teapot
L’Vista, expanding its international home accessory line, has introduced Franz Porcelain, a San Francisco-based porcelain company renowned for its detailed work on vases, decorative accents and jewellery. Franz Porcelain uses Chinese clay and glazes to adorn plates with delicate flowers, bowls with graceful swans and necklaces with fiery red butterflies. The line was started by Francis Chen in an effort to revitalize the ancient art of Chinese porcelain art. The pieces are all inspired by whimsical takes on nature, and would add a homey touch to a room. However, there is also a strong allusion to Art Deco in the works, with angular lines seen in certain pieces. These modern updates on the traditional art form create unique decorative pieces. Prices range from Rs1,800 to Rs25,000, and the line is available at L’Vista, Phoenix Mills Compound, Lower Parel, Mumbai.
