To better understand work patterns in organizations in India, Adobe carried out a survey in September among 950 knowledge workers (professionals working in fields such as banking, IT, telecom, publishing and architecture, where access to data is crucial for work) representing 775 organizations.
The people surveyed were spread across 20 cities—from tier I (like Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai) and tier II (like Chandigarh, Pune and Ahmedabad) to tier III cities (like Jammu, Tiruchirappalli and Vijayawada).
The survey, which aimed to gauge productivity and collaboration, had specific questions on these issues as well as on security and mobility in the context of documents and document exchange.
Umang Bedi, managing director—South Asia, Adobe, says in the survey: “India is a knowledge economy, and as such, lost productivity has serious economic implications. In this increasingly complex and interconnected digital world, it is imperative that organizations and knowledge workers adopt documentation tools that allow them to be productive and collaborative in a highly-secured manner.”
