The Colorado river's path through the heart of the Grand Canyon is one of the world's most exhilarating and intimidating river experiences
During my 225-mile trip (around 362km) through Arizona’s Grand Canyon from Lees Ferry to Diamond Creek, I got to see from up close the contours carved out by the Colorado river in the colossal rock surfaces around me over millions of years.
The varying colours of the walls, the stars in the open skies above us, and the changing rhythms and pace of the river are mesmeric. These are some of the most memorable images from my trip.
