READ
The Reader Digital Book by Sony is a portable reading device for eBooks. Its high-resolution electronic paper display delivers a realistic print look that rivals traditional paper and uses minimal power. A single battery charge provides up to 7,500 pages of continuous reading. The reader retails for about $300 and comes complete with a USB cable, eBook Library software and a colour-coordinated, protective soft cover. Sony has announced a software upgrade that makes it the first eBook device to support an international publishing format called EPUB. A limited edition Red model, PRS-505 Reader, marks the event.

KNOW
Are you more comfortable moving around the screen with a mouse rather than your laptop’s trackpad but hate struggling with tangled cables? Try Logitech’s V470 Cordless Laser Mouse (Rs2,695; three-year warranty). Without any dongle or cable, this glossy Bluetooth-enabled mouse can be installed in a trice and happily works from a distance of more than 20ft. It’s ergnomic and comfortable, but feels a tad heavier than it actually is due the twin AA batteries that power it. A horizontal/vertical scroll along with a zoom function eases spreadsheet and image viewing. The V470 is compatible with both Mac and Windows.
