Mixing new-world graphics with the satire of cartooning, city-based journalist and artist Rasheed Kappan attempts a fresh look at time-tested medium. With a city-centric theme titled ‘dupli-City’, the exhibition will feature about 40 contemporary works of Kappan, including a retrospective of his cartoons from four previous shows. The exhibition, he says, is his attempt to cross the line between graphics, design and cartooning. It will be inaugurated with a specially-designed mime performance by theatre group Your’s Truly. Kappan will also do on-the-spot caricatures of visitors. ‘Graficatures’ is Kappan’s fifth exhibition and his first solo display. 10am-7pm.
