It was on 5 June 1981 that the first cases of HIV were documented. UNAIDS, the Joint United Nations Programme that has been working to fight against the deadly disease, commemorates 30 years of the war against HIV. We are joined by Charles Gilks, country coordinator of UNAIDS in India, to give us an insight into where we’ve come from and where we are headed.
