Banana Leaf Wrapped Tofu Steak With Kaffir Lime Leaf, Chilli and Coriander
Serves 1
Ingredients
140g silken tofu
1 banana leaf
1 kaffir lime leaf
1 fresh red chilli, chopped
5g ginger, chopped
5g coriander root, chopped
10g onion, chopped
10ml oyster sauce
1 satay stick, 4 inches long
Method:
Cut the tofu into two equal pieces. Take a banana leaf, place a tofu slice on it. On top of the tofu put oyster sauce, kaffir lime leaf, red chilli, ginger, coriander root and onion. Now place the other tofu slice on top of this. Wrap this tightly in the banana leaf and seal witha satay stick. Cook the parcel on a teppanyaki grill covered with a copper dome for 4-5 minutes. Unwrap the leaf, and serve the tofu on an oblong plate.
