of silk; together with his business- and one-time life-partner Pierre Bergé, he amassed a museum-worthy collection of art, furniture and antiques that spanned movements from Modernism to Art Deco. Next year, on 23-25 February, Christie’s, in association with Pierre Bergé and Associates auctioneers, will sell the 700-piece collection from Saint Laurent and Bergé’s respective apartments in Paris. This will include key pieces by Piccaso, Mondrian and Matisse, as well as furniture, sculptures and old master paintings. Some of the highlights:
