Serie Nature: Avocado, fig and tomato are no longer ingredients for a salad. L’Oreal Professionnel has launched a new line of hair products with natural origin ingredients. The Serie Nature range has a line of products for different skin problems: avocado and grape seed for dry, unmanageable hair; rice protein to repair sensitized hair; tomato lycopene to cleanse; and white peach for children’s products. What’s more, all the packaging is recyclable. Each range has shampoos, conditioners, serums, masks, hair creams as well as in-salon treatment products. At all L’Oreal Professionnel salons, prices start at Rs525.

Estee Lauder: After cleanse-tone-moisturize came cleanse-exfoliate-moisturize. Now Estee Lauder is trying to rewrite the basics of skincare with a new skincare line that performs three key actions: neutralize-detoxify-infuse. The Nutritious Skincare Collection is specially meant for Asian skins. A cleanser and UV protector take care of step one, which is neutralizing pollution and sun damage. An anti-oxidant-filled Vita-Mineral Energy Lotion hydrates and detoxifies the skin, while the Vita-Mineral Radiance Essence infuses the skin with vitamins, minerals and potent fruit extracts. At all Estee Lauder outlets, prices start at Rs 2,295.
Bourjois: Blue is the focus of the French make-up brand’s spring collection. The inspiration is the flickering colours on the wings of a butterfly. Blue eye-shadow with purple reflections, an electric blue eye pencil and two blue shades for the nails make up part of the collection. To offset the vibrant eyes and nails there are soft shades of beige and rose lip colour and a rosy blush. At select department stores, prices start at Rs195.
Ferre: Pink, roses and the promise of becoming a princess—that may not exactly be every woman’s idea of an ideal scent, but for the young women whom Ferre’s Rose Princesse is targeted at, it comes close to perfect. Fruity scents of Sicilian bergamot, Spanish orange and Mexican lemon, as well as wild blueberries and green apple mingle with the freshness of lilac, white magnolia and sandalwood. At select department stores, Rs2,300 for 30 ml, 3,250 for 50ml and Rs4,350 for 100ml.

L’Oreal Paris: After True Match Minerals for skin, mineral kohl for the eyes and blush for cheeks, the brand’s latest addition to the minerals line are the Color Minerals eyeshadows. A 95% mineral composition makes them gentle and non-allergenic—perfect for the delicate eye area. The products also have no preservatives, talc, silicon or fragrance. Pick from six shades: white, nude, gold, plum, olive and blue. At all L’Oreal Paris counters, Rs375 each.
