Priya Patil, 29
Accessories designer
Style rule: Being beautiful doesn’t mean being sexy.

Currently wearing: An argyle knit dress with black leggings, heels and carrying a sequinned bronze bag.
Why it’s sexy: “I think less skin showing is more attractive, so I’ve chosen this long-sleeved dress. I can be fun in this outfit, it makes me feel different. Accessories can really pump up an outfit, so I added the bag. A few sequins never hurt anyone.”
Raell Padamsee, late 30s
Theatre personality
Style rule: Plain palette accessorized with a colour.
Currently wearing: A pair of straight black pants, a low-cut, clingy black blouse and a tangerine shawl, with dangling earrings and chunky bracelets.
Why it’s sexy: “Black is sophisticated and slimming and it’s a predominant colour in my wardrobe. I chose trousers over a skirt because they make me feel comfortable, and for me to exude confidence, I need to be comfortable. The colour of the shawl and the accessories make the outfit more fun. Most of the time I’m wearing a lot of accessories; I like them to be conversation pieces.”
Shweta Deliwala, 31
Fashion designer and co-owner of lifestyle store Attic, Mumbai
Style rule: Less is more
Currently wearing: A self-designed slate grey satin sheath, leaf-shaped bronze earrings and stilettos.
Why it’s sexy: “I don’t like to be too dressed up or made up, so this dress, with its subdued colour, is perfect. Since the dress is so subtle, I opted for big earrings. The ensemble is simple, comfortable and sophisticated, and makes me feel confident. If I’m confident, I’m feeling good.”
