Hello and welcome to the Lounge Podcast this week. Today we have the Raqs Media Collective as guests on our show. Jeebesh Bagchi, Monica Narula and Shuddhabrata Sengupta of the very cool Delhi-based collective have a new show opening on 20th October at Project 88 in Mumbai.
The show is called ‘The Capital of Accumulation’ and it incorporates video, photography and archival materials, moving between the cities of Warsaw, Berlin and Mumbai through interwoven narratives. The centerpiece of the show is a two-screen video installation, which also lends its name to the show’s title. For those in Mumbai, the show is on from 20 October to 20 November.
Our regular book critic Chandrahas Choudhury is travelling and unable to join us this week. But we do have a film review for you: Udita Jhunjhunwala, contributing film critic for Lounge, tells us what she thought of Ketan Mehta’s 3-D animation film, Ramayana-The Epic.
That’s all from us at the Lounge Podcast this week.
