Need a reason to cheer up in this sweltering heat? Here’s a curated list of eateries in three cities that are offering summer menus, with mango as the guest of honour.
Delhi
Guppy by ai: The Japanese restaurant’s menu includes two kinds of sushis—the Mango and Avocado Cream Cheese Roll ( ₹ 650) and Mango And Tuna Roll ( ₹ 750). Have a sweet tooth? Try the Mango, Liquorice with Coconut Ice-Cream ( ₹ 400). “We are only using alphonso, since that’s synonymous with the thought of mango. We are not cooking it in any form, the idea is to keep the experience as fresh as possible," says executive chef Vikram Khatri.

Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf: Indulge in seasonal desserts such as the oblong Mango Eclairs ( ₹ 175), Mango Love Me Ton ( ₹ 175) and Tropical Tart ( ₹ 195). If you crave dark chocolate, opt for the Mango Tango Pastry ( ₹ 195).

Bengaluru
SodaBottleOpenerWala: The Parsi eatery is offering mango-based desserts. These include Mango Ravo ( ₹ 120), a semolina-based pudding, and Keri No Samosa ( ₹ 140), a samosa stuffed with mangoes and nuts. Why only desserts? “Ripe mangoes taste the best. Their taste enhances when used in desserts," says the eatery’s brand head and cuisine director, Mohit Balachandran.

California Pizza Kitchen: Its Mango Mania menu includes Green Mango Pizza ( ₹ 540 onwards), comprising mango, onion and pepper, and Mango Flat Bread ( ₹ 305 onwards) that has cherry tomatoes, onions, Anaheim chillies and raw mango pieces. There’s also Mango Salad ( ₹ 355 onwards), with garden greens, quinoa, mangoes and a home-made mango dressing. You can wash all this down with cocktails like Raw Mango Mojito, Spicy Mango and Mango Melange ( ₹ 425 each).

Mumbai
Out of the Blue: The European fine-dining space’s Mangonomics menu includes Mango Gazpacho ( ₹ 150) and 8 Hour Braised Lamb Shank ( ₹ 650) with bajra congee and mango-papaya salsa. You can savour the Vanilla Scented Panna Cotta ( ₹ 225) for dessert. “We have gone Spanish, Asian, Continental with our dishes," says sous chef Devendra Rawat, who recommends Cumin Scented Seared John Dory ( ₹ 565), which comes with creamy polenta and mango avocado salsa.

Mighty Small: The café is offering a special drinks menu. You can try cocktails like Mango Pulse ( ₹ 399), a concoction of vodka, pineapple juice and aam panna syrup; Raw Mango-Tini ( ₹ 399), a mix of gin, raw mango and chaat masala; and Mangolini ( ₹ 399), made with sparkling wine and mango purée. Must- try: Barf Ka Churmura ( ₹ 399), an icy gola infused with mango and vodka or rum.
