Established in 2003 by Elle Decor, the Art and Design Show has grown exponentially over the years, into a three-day extravaganza showcasing the most promising designs in Indian and international decor. “The show provides initiative for designers in India. It gives them a reason and a platform to come up with creative works,” says Alex Davis, a designer.
In this year’s show, a host of galleries highlight the latest in design. The chair gallery is dedicated to sitting pretty, showcasing a variety of chairs created by designers such as Krsna Mehta (for Godrej interior). Davis has an easy chair from his My Lazy Garden collection on display. The chair is made of high gloss stainless steel. Other features include an art Lounge, with video walls, installations and paintings and a Show Home with rooms decorated by Bangalore-based designer Sandeep Khosla using innovative works of Mukul Goya, Alex Davis and Rohit Gupta of Elementto.
At the Hilton Towers, Mumbai; from 28-30 March; from 10am to 8pm.
