This one is for all music buffs. Sound of Music, a luxury brand for high-end audio-video products, recently launched the Meridian F80, a compact audio system, in India. A product of UK-based Meridian Audio’s collaboration with Ferrari, the F80 (around Rs2 lakh, plus tax) comes with a CD/DVD player, AM/FM/DAB radio, alarm functions and an optional iPod dock.
The 80-watt, 2.1 stereo system sports drivers at the front, while a rear-mounted subwoofer handles the bass. At the core of the F80 is a high-integrity digital sound system, based on powerful digital signal processing (DSP) technology. This is surrounded by a sturdy, well-damped cabinet made with innovative low-resonance, high-mass composite materials, developed in conjunction with Ferrari.
