Currently, Delhi’s Rohit Gandhi and Rahul Khanna of Cue get our vote for their stunning short dresses (See: picture)in a murky grey palette injected with just the right amount of shine—very urban, very sexy. Gauri and Nainika’s softer princess dresses are also on the racks. If you want the necessary add-ons, Italian designer René Caovilla’s shoes and handbags (Rs40,000 up) are available at Mumbai’s Kemp’s Corner store. • Zoya, at Bandra, Mumbai, is the place for free spirits to get glam, with designers such as Wendell Rodricks, Savio Jon and Gaurav Gupta. Try on Gupta’s black pleated empire-line dress with a satin waistband (Rs12,350), or Jon’s slim, layered black georgette number with shiny rings around the neck as the only embellishment (Rs15,000). Of course, if you want to make a statement, Rodricks’ easy, laid-back georgette dresses are always an option.
