Shifting Ground: Memory and Landscape

Meghana Bisineer presents her meditations on the nature of time and personal memory in relation to place and landscapes in the form of video films and digital prints of drawings. Bisineer, who studied at the Royal College of Art in London, layers several large drawings over the same surface by erasing and re-drawing. She uses charcoals, pastels and inks

Wedding Album, written by playwright Girish Karnad, explores the dilemmas of the middle-class. It revolves around a traditional wedding in a globalized, technologically advanced India, even as it juxtaposes the very different life experiences and expectations of the family and their loyal cook. The play is presented by Crea-Shakti and Theatron. Children below the age of 16 are not allowed. 1 hour, 30 minutes.

The designs at the exhibition are inspired by geometric patterns and have earthy colours. Brass, silver and gold plating has been used to highlight minakari work.
