The all-in-one (AIO) is gaining popularity and most PC makers have taken their design cues from Apple’s iMac to create sleek desktop solutions. Using wireless keyboards and mice, these machines don’t just look good but are also much easier to install or move since you just need to transfer a single unit.
With all the major original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) coming out with new models in the last month or so, there’s a good deal of choice available, so take a look at our three picks to decide which one suits you:
Lenovo’s ThinkCentre Edge 92z
It reached the market this month and is being pitched to small- and medium-enterprise users. As such it is pegged as a value-for-money option. It doesn’t look as good as the competition, but there’s no denying that it’s a very capable machine, at a great price.

RAM: 4 GB
Screen: 21.5-inch full HD
Storage: 1 TB HDD
Inputs: Touch screen, wireless mouse and keyboard
Worth noting: USB 3.0, Wi-Fi direct connectivity
Price: Rs.59,600
Dell OptiPlex 9010 All-in-One Desktop touch
The Dell OptiPlex 9010 All-in-One Desktop touch, which launched in December, is priced very close to the newest Lenovo AIO, but adds in a Blu-ray writer at the cost of Wi-Fi Direct. It’s a lot sleeker than Lenovo’s offering, but lacks a distinct identity, while the Lenovo, though boxy, at least stands out.

HP ENVY 23 TouchSmart All-in-One PC
It is the most expensive AIO but it is also one of the best-looking ones. At 23 inches with full HD, the screen is huge, and great for watching movies or playing video games. It comes on a floating stand and can be pushed back easily, so it’s really convenient to use the touch interface, but it falters in the audio department.
