Admissions are on for the postgraduate diploma programme in design (PGDPD) and graduate diploma programme in design (GDPD) for the 2011 session. Specializations available for the GDPD course are industrial design, communication design and lifestyle design. For PGDPD, the specializations available are product design, furniture and interior design, ceramic and glass design, graphic design, animation film design, film and video communication and textile design. Eligible candidates must have completed higher secondary with any subject combination; those who are planning to appear for the examination in March can also apply. Admissions are on for the international diploma course in guidance and counselling in collaboration with the Commonwealth of Learning, Canada. The one-year course has a unique blend of distance/online and face-to-face modes for candidates from India, other South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (Saarc) and Afro-Asian countries.
Indian candidates will be admitted on a regional basis at the department of educational psychology and foundations of education (DEPFE), National Institute of Education (NIE), New Delhi, and regional institutes of education at Ajmer, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Mysore and Shillong. Eligible candidates must be in-service teachers, graduates with a teaching degree and postgraduates in psychology, education, social work, child development or special education.
