Ingredients
2l full cream milk
2g vermicelli
250g sugar
50g ghee
30g cashewnuts, raisins (add almonds, pistachio)
5g cardamom powder
Method: Heat the ghee in a pan and add dry fruits such as cashewnuts and raisins. Deep-fry them until golden brown, remove from the pan and keep aside. In the same ghee, fry the vermicelli till golden brown in colour. Boil the milk separately and add to the fried vermicelli. When the vermicelli is cooked (it will take about 5-7 minutes minimum), add the sugar. Cook on low fire, stirring constantly, till the milk attains the desired consistency (for a rich creamy consistency, it will take at least half an hour). Finally, add cardamom powder and the fried cashewnuts and raisins. Stir well. Serve it hot or chilled.
