The beginning of winters is also marked by the onset of festivals—Mumbai had the Kala Ghoda Arts Festival and the Bandra Festival, Chennai had the Other Festival, now known as the Park’s New Festival, and Bangalore just finished the Bengalooru Habba. The latest in these additions to festivals is the Delhi International Arts Festival. Pratibha Prahlad, dancer and festival director says “We wanted Delhi and its surrounding suburbs also to have a signature festival, a festival where everything came under one roof”. The festival is organised by the Prasiddha Foundation and Forum for Art beyond Borders. The festival will comprise of every form of cultural activity such as theatre, dance recitals, poetry readings, films and even a youth festival.
