Pinterest health boards keep me motivated to work out five-six times a week,” says Shruti Arora, who is addicted to Pinterest. Arora, an engineering student and national-level fencer from Chandigarh, loves the charts on what to eat before and after a workout and the social media site Pinterest helps her do it the way she wants to.
Prachi Kodikal, an investment banker from Mumbai, discovered Pinterest just when she was trying to lose weight after her pregnancy. “Having no time to hit the gym, I was looking for ways to exercise at home and also for healthy recipes. The health and fitness boards were just perfect for this and I was hooked,” she says.
Delhi-based food blogger Rekha Kakkar learnt about Pinterest from people posting links to their “pins” on Twitter. “Those days, it was a by-invitation-only site and I promptly asked a friend who was an existing user to send me an invite, and I was hooked,” explains Kakkar.

People have always loved collecting beautiful things and what Pinterest does is to allow anyone to create multiple virtual boards to pin anything interesting they find on the Internet.
The most popular categories among the boards are “DIY & Crafts”, “Food & Drink”, “Home Décor”, “Health & Fitness”, “Humor” and “Quotes”. We spoke to some people for whom their go-to boards are food and fitness and asked them how they use Pinterest to stay fit and for good health. Follow their tips and create your own “stay healthy” board.
