Breaking Free—Life Gets Better Together

The Godrej India Culture Lab, in collaboration with Community Business, a not-for-profit dedicated to advancing corporate social responsibility in Asia, will curate an event that looks at LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender) inclusion within and outside the workplace. A panel discussion with Radhika Piramal, managing director of luggage maker VIP Industries Ltd, activist Harrish Iyer’s mother Padma Iyer and activist Joe Zachariah will be followed by a screening of the documentary Breaking Free.

Gilby Clarke

Gilby Clarke was part of the mega rock band Guns N’ Roses for three years. He took famed guitarist Izzy’s spot and toured with the band on their Use Your Illusion concerts. Clarke has also played the guitar with Nancy Sinatra and Supernova. Clarke will be performing in India with rock drummer Troy Patrick Farrell and E.J. Curse.

Jules Et Jim

One of the most loved titles of French New-Wave cinema, director François Truffaut’s 1962 film Jules Et Jim is set during World War I and revolves around a love triangle involving the Bohemian Jim (Henri Serre), his friend Jules (Oskar Werner) and Jules’ girlfriend Catherine (Jeanne Moreau). The film was adapted from writer Henri-Pierre Roché’s semi-autobiographical novel about his relationship with author Franz Hessel and Hessel’s wife Helen Grund.
