In July, video site YouTube asked its users to participate in making a documentary film “unlike any other". Called Life in a Day, it asked contributors from around the world to send footage of their daily lives, which would then be stitched together by ace director Kevin Macdonald (Touching the Void, The Last King of Scotland) into a full-length, experimental documentary film.
Contributors are credited as co-directors of the film, and up to 20 of them will attend the film’s premiere on 27 January at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival in the US.
