There is a significant correlation between education levels and financial behaviour, except in the case of bank accounts and deposits, which seem popular across people of varying educational backgrounds.
This is among the findings of the Invest India Incomes and Savings Survey 2007, produced by IIMS Dataworks. According to the study, 30% of people without any formal education remain unaware of life insurance while the number is only 7% among graduates. Mint started presenting the findings of the IIMS Dataworks study on 16 July and will run this series till the end of August.
