Indiafirst out with three new Ulips

INDIAFIRST LIFE Insurance Co. Ltd, which launched in India last month, has come out with three unit-linked insurance plans (Ulips), meant for investment for self, children and retirement. All of these are regular premium plans with a minimum investment limit of Rs12,000 per year. The investment and retirement Ulips have a single-premium variant though. All three Ulips have an equity fund option, allowing up to 100% exposure.

Now, you can watch TV on your laptop

You can now carry your television wherever you go. Tata Teleservices Ltd has launched a TV service on its CDMA Internet data card called Tata Photon+. Tata Photon+ post-paid customers will be able to watch 40 TV channels on their laptops at a cost of Rs75 a month. Selected sports, news, business, entertainment and kids channels are on the list. You can also subscribe for a single channel at just Rs4 a month.

Karvy to offer MFs through exchanges

Equity stock brokers are warming up to the online mutual fund (MF) platforms of the BSE and the NSE to facilitate MF buying and selling. Karvy Stock Broking Ltd is the latest entrant to offer MFs through the stock exchange.

Apart from having an existing online platform that enabled Karvy customers to buy MFs though a separate channel, Karvy now offers MFs on its online stock trading platform too.
