Mumbai: Shares of two-wheeler maker Hero MotoCorp surged by over 3% on the bourses on Friday to touch an all-time high after the company reported an 18.61% jump in August sales to 5,03,654 units.
The stock, which opened the day on a robust note, rose further by 3.56% to touch a lifetime high of Rs 2,120.80 on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE). On a similar note, the scrip of the country’s largest two-wheeler maker went up by 3.4% to touch a lifetime high of Rs 2,121.65 on the National Stock Exchange (NSE).
Hero MotoCorp on Thursday reported an 18.61% jump in August sales to 5,03,654 units. The company sold 4,24,617 units in the corresponding month last year.
“The cumulative sales of Hero MotoCorp between April to August this year have now crossed the 25 lakh units milestone, a growth of 21% over 2,086,342 units sold in the same period last year,” the company said.
Meanwhile, the BSE benchmark Sensex, too, was trading higher by 158.48 points at 16,835.23 at 10:35 am.
