Private Equity (PE) investments in Indian firms increased 32% in April to $1.2 billion, powered by 37 deals against $910.5 million across 35 transactions in the same period last year. Infrastructure, including logistics, topped the charts, accounting for 38.5% of investments with a total deal value of $463.5 million. The mining sector followed with a solo transaction worth $200 million. The calendar year till April has aggregated investments worth $4.42 billion, compared with $3.12 billion for the same period last year.
