Markets slip after rising for five sessions
Mumbai: Shares erased early gains and slipped 0.1% on Friday, after rising for five sessions in a row.
At 11:14am, the 30-share BSE index was down 0.07% at 18,493.18 points, with 16 components declining. It had risen nearly 1 percent in early trade. The 50-share NSE index was down 0.1% at 5,540.15.
Shares rose 0.5% at opening, with financials leading the rise, taking cues from strong Asian markets.
At 9:15am, the 30-share BSE index was up 0.54% at 18,606.45 points, with 26 components advancing. The 50-share NSE index was up 0.6% at 5,576.80.
