Shares of Carol Info Services, which holds a 9% stake in Wockhardt Hospital, rose 15% after CNBC-TV18 became the first to report that Fortis may be looking at acquiring Wockhardt Hospital. Sources say Wockhardt Hospital has admitted to its employees that it is in talks with various players as it looks for a minority investor to help it raise additional capital, after its initial public offering plan was shelved due to adverse market conditions.
