Gold prices recovered on mild retailers buying

Gold of 99.9 and 99.5% purity recovered by Rs20 each to Rs30,250 and Rs30,050 per ten gram respectively

New Delhi: Gold prices recovered by Rs20 to Rs30,250 per ten gram in New Delhi bullion market on Saturday on scattered buying by retailers for the marriage season.

Silver also rebounded by Rs400 to Rs43,400 per kg on increased offtake by industrial units and coin makers.

Traders said some retailers buying for the ongoing marriage season mainly led to recovery in gold and silver prices.

Gold of 99.9 and 99.5% purity recovered by Rs20 each to Rs30,250 and Rs30,050 per ten gram respectively, while sovereign held steady at Rs25,000 per piece of eight gram.

Silver ready also rebounded by Rs400 to Rs43,400 per kg while weekly-based delivery held steady at Rs42,375 per kg.

On the other hand, silver coins remained stable at Rs82,000 for buying and Rs83,000 for selling of 100 pieces.
