Bhubaneswar: The Central Rice Research Institute (CRRI) has launched a rice variety called Aghani Bora that is ready to eat after soaking in water for 45 minutes at room temperature.
“This rice variety, which comes under soft rice category, helps in saving fuel as it doesn’t require any boiling ,” said Tapan Kumar Adhya, director of CRRI. Aghani bora, which is originally from Assam, is grown in cool climates.
