2:28pm: BSE Sensex rises 249.29 points, or 0.87%, to 28,756.71, while the Nifty gains 83.35 points, or 0.95%, to 8,860.50.
2:15pm: Financial Technologies India Ltd rises 8% to Rs.88. The stock is up 17.6% in last one month and so far this year it fell 28.5%. The company has informed BSE that the Company has received a provisional attachment Order from the Directorate of Enforcement, Mumbai, attaching Mutual funds amounting to Rs.306.70 crores. The Company is taking appropriate steps in consultation with the legal Counsel of the Company.
2:00pm: Multi Commodity Exchange Of India Ltd rises 1.5% to Rs.1,050. The stock gained for the seventh consecutive sessions and rose 13.5% in this period. So far this year it gained 12.5%.
1:30pm: Lincoln Pharmaceuticals Ltd rises 3.2% to Rs.239.50 after the company said in a notice to BSE that it has developed New NDDS formulation Ondansetron Oral Spray (Domi Up) first time in India.
1:10pm: BSE Sensex rises 229.93 points, or 0.81%, to 28,737.35, while the Nifty gains 74.50 points, or 0.85%, to 8,851.65.
1:00pm: Shares of Indian Oil Corp. rises as much as 1.1% and Gail (India) Ltd gains up to 1.76% after the companies agreed to buy a combined 49% stake in a liquefied natural gas terminal being built in Odisha.
12:45pm: Syngene International Ltd rises 5.3% to Rs.506.70. The company said in a notice to BSE that it closed deal with Strand Life Sciences to Purchase Systems Biology and Pharma Services Practice.
12:30pm: Larsen & Toubro Ltd rises 1.5% to Rs.1,493.90. The company said in a notice to BSE that it won Vietnam Border guard contract worth $99.7 million to design and build high speed patrol vessels in India. The company will transfer design and technology and supply equipment and material for for building follow on vessel at Vietnam Shipyard.
12:15pm: Tata Steel Ltd rises 1.2% to Rs.373.85. The stock gained for fourth consecutive sessions and up 5.7% in this period. So far this year it gained 44.2%.
12:00pm: Maruti Suzuki India Ltd rises 2.3% to Rs.5,630. The stock gained over 15% in last one month and so far this year it gained 21.1%.
11:45am: BSE Sensex rises 205.22 points, or 0.72%, to 28,712.64, while the Nifty gains 67.55 points, or 0.77%, to 8,844.70.
11:35am: Jyoti Structures Ltd rises 2% to Rs.13.40. Bondholders of Jyoti Structures are looking to force a bankruptcy on the company if it is unable to seal a deal with the Dubaibased Amin Group in the next few weeks.

10:55am: Metal stocks are trading higher. Hindalco Industries Ltd rises 3.4%, Steel Authority Of India 1.7%, Tata Steel Ltd rises 1.6%, Vedanta Ltd rises 1.5%, Jindal Steel and Power Ltd rises 1.2%, Hindustan Zinc 1%, JSW Steel 1%.
10:45am: ABG Shipyard Ltd rises 3% to Rs.30.95. Lenders to ABG Cement Ltd are in the process of finalizing a debt restructuring package for the company, after a recent management change. Global commodities platform SIMEC Group bought a 51% stake in ABG Cement for Rs.525 crore and initiated a management change in the company earlier this financial year, Mint reported.
10:35am: Reliance Defence and Engineering Ltd rises 3% to Rs.60.45 after the company said in a notice to BSE that it is the lowest bidder to build 14 fast petrol vessel for Indian coast guard and the order value is Rs.920 crore.
10:25am: Bharat Financial Inclusion Ltd rises 4% to Rs.806.10. The company said in a notice to BSE that S. Dilli Raj, President of the Company, who was on leave for two months, has resigned from the services of the Company effective 21 September. M. R.
