Mumbai: India’s stock markets rose more than 1% on Thursday, snapping three straight sessions of losses, as investors bought beaten-down stocks while upbeat US markets overnight also improved sentiment.

The benchmark BSE Sensex gained 1.22%, while the broader Nifty rose 1.37%.
