Sebi plans investors' camps
Agartala: The stock market regulator Security and Exchange of India (Sebi) will organize investors’ camps across the country to create awareness about the stock market.
Sebi chairman, M Damodaran said on 27 May the organisation has taken initiative to organise investors’ camps to sensitise investors about the risk and gain factors of stock markets throughout the country including Tripura .
There is need to form registered investors’ association in each state to safeguard the interest of the investors, he told reporters here.
SEBI needs to do more to educate investors in every corner of the country to give them maximum benefit from the stock markets, Damodaran said adding the geographical isolation is not a factor in investing money in stock markts.
Anybody can monitor the market trend on internet sitting at his home, he added.
Damodaran, who is also the former chief secretary of the state, said that SEBI would organise an workshop for the reporters in Tripura about functioning and coverage of stock market soon.
