New Delhi: U21Global, the world’s premier online Graduate School, announced the launch of its second batch of 51 executives of IndianOil Corporationfor its Hybrid Certificate Programme in Project Management.
It underscores IndianOil’s commitment to provide their employees with top quality higher education and belief in benefits of an online programme. The batch was launched by Mr VC Agarwal, Director HR, IndianOil and Managing Director IBP Co. Ltd. in the presence of Mr BNBankapur, Director Refineries, Dr Mukesh Aghi, CEO, U21Global and Mr Girish Rangan, Country Manager - India, U21Global.
The pilot batch of the Hybrid Certificate Programme which was launched in August’06 graduated in December 2006 after completing a 15-week online programme that was developed by IndianOil Institute of Petroleum Management in association with U21Global. To promote competition among executives, IndianOil constituted gold, silver and bronze medals including cash rewards for the top three achievers of the present batch.
The online pedagogy is designed to develop competencies required for international business practices in project management.” It allows executives to uppgrade themselves while seeing real time benefits of the programme in their work and at the same time help meet IndianOil’s requirements of preparing tmanpower for large scale upcoming projects.
It provides exposure to global best practices in project management from concept to commissioning, including project closure and closure audit. IOC hopes to see their project managers turning more pro-active and efficient.
IOC nominated 25 executives from Panipat, Mathura, Gujarat and Guwahati refineries. By 2008, morethan 1000 employees will be covered as the company equips them with in-class skills to expand and deepen global project management capabilities.
