Are SIPs (systematic investment plans) a good investment? If so, can you suggest few good SIPs?
Prashanth Raj
An SIP is an excellent way of investing. Some good schemes for investment through SIP are Sundaram BNP Paribas Select Focus (Reg G), UTI Banking Sector Fund (G), Tata Infrastructure Fund (G), Kotak Opportunities (G) and HDFC Top 200 Fund (G). However, before investing you must define your risk profile and decide on a time frame for investments, which should be for a minimum of two years.
I have Nifty 3,100 calls bought at Rs20. Should I wait till the Nifty crosses 3,000 or exit at current levels? Further, should I buy March 2,600 put at current levels?
Rajesh
You may hold your calls till this week. But watch out for the Nifty’s resistance at 3,068 and 3,140 points, respectively. If the Nifty fails to sustain above 3,068 points, some profit selling would be good.
