Educomp Solutions has bagged an Rs83.8 crore order from the Gujarat Government to introduce computer-aided learning (CAL) in schools in the State. This will cover around 8.5lakh students in class 9 to 12.
The agreement was signed with Commissioner MDM and Schools, Gandhinagar, Gujarat for implementation of CAL in 1,780 schools in two zones namely north Gujarat and Saurashtra & Kutch for five years on a BOOT basis.
Besides installation and maintenance of computer hardware, Educomp will also provide one project manager per zone and one school coordinator / computer assistant for each set of five schools.
With the current project, the total number of schools under ICT implementation by Educomp in Gujarat is 5,099 and the total number of schools across India stands at 13,792, making it a leader in this space.
