RIL gains for sixth straight session ahead of March quarter results
Shares of RIL touched a high of Rs925 apiece in intra-day trade, a level last seen on 16 February
Mumbai: Shares of Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) gained for the sixth consecutive session on Monday, ahead of the company’s January-March quarter earnings which will be released on 17 April.
According to the median estimate of 10 brokers polled by Bloomberg, RIL will have net sales of ₹ 66,029.70 crore and net profit of ₹ 5,948.30 crore.
In the last five trading sessions, RIL has gained around 11.5% and in 2015, it is up around 3%.
During the day, the RIL stock touched a high of ₹ 925 apiece, a level last seen on 16 February.
On Friday, RIL said it has commissioned polyethylene terephthalate capacity at its Dahej plant in Gujarat. The plant has two manufacturing lines with a combined manufacturing capacity of 650KTA, the company said.
The RIL stock closed at ₹ 922.40 on BSE, up 2.07% from its previous close, while India’s benchmark Sensex rose 0.57% to end at 29,044.44 points.
