New Delhi: Prices of cottonseed, mustard seed and soybean refined oils rose in the range of Rs100 to Rs150 a quintal in the wholesale oils and oilseeds market here today on increased demand amid firming trend in foreign markets.
Marketmen said reduced arrivals coupled with increased buying by vanaspati mills and stockists mainly pushed up mustard seed, cottonseed and soybean refined edible oils prices.
They said the reports of select oils like palm and soybean rising in global markets last week had a positive impact on trading sentiment.
In edible section, cottonseed and mustard seed mill delivery oils looked up from Rs5,150 and Rs5,350 to settle at Rs5,300 and Rs5,400 a quintal respectively on frantic buying.
Soybean refined mill delivery oil also increased from Rs5,400 to settle at Rs5,500 a quintal on restricted supply.
