The shares of KRBL were up 10.69% on the back of firm prices, which will result in higher realizations. Agencies have procured 14.2 million tonnes (mt) of rice in the new season, against 13.9 mt a year ago, said people familiar with the development.

Nava Bharat Ventures gained 5.24% after its Singapore unit bought 65% stake in Zambia’s largest coal mine for $26 million. It will set up a 300MW power plant in the African country, along with the Zambia government’s holding company.
