Mumbai: The Indian rupee on Wednesday opened slightly higher against the US dollar at 53.755 up 0.16%.
On Tuesday it closed at 53.8512 up 0.01%.
At 9.26am, the home currency was trading at 53.8388 up 0.02%.
Gains in the domestic share market may, however, limit a sharp upside to the dollar-rupee pair. Shares were trading up 0.4%.
Most Asian currencies were also trading stronger compared with the dollar.
