Mumbai: India soyoil April futures breached the initial daily price limit of 3% to touch a new high of Rs733.20 per 10 kg on Monday, 3 March, tracking sharp rises in the rival Malaysian palm oil futures.
At 10:25am Malaysian palm oil May contract was trading up 3.52% at 4,146 ringgit ($1,296.8) a tonne. The contract had earlier touched a life high of 4,173 ringgit.
Soybean April contract touched a new high of Rs2,419 per 100 kg. At 10:25am the contract was trading up 2.87% at Rs2,416.
In Chicago Board of Trade, the soybean July contract rose 1.78% to $15.71 per bushel at 10:25am.
The July rapeseed futures breached the initial daily price limit of 3%. At 10:31am the contract was trading up 3.17% at Rs670 per 20 kg.
