Sensex lifeline: high beeps and pratfalls

Sun Pharma (2.45% up)
The Sun Pharma stock gained 2.45% despite the markets ending deep in the red after the firm said Q4 net profit declined marginally to Rs394 crore against Rs394.9 crore in the year-ago period. The management gave revenue growth guidance of 18-20% for fiscal 2011.
Educomp Solutions (6.64% down)
Shares of Educomp Solutions declined 6.64% after brokerage CLSA cut the firm’s target price by around 15% to Rs430 per share. CLSA said that the stock was entering a phase where consistent results will need to precede a return of faith in the company’s growth story.
Intrasoft Tech (7.68% down)
The Intrasoft Technologies scrip was down 7.68% after the management said that it was not in talks with Archies for purchasing any stake at the moment but may consider it if the opportunity arrives. The management also said it would continue to focus on its online presence.
TV Today (12% down)
Shares of TV Today Networks were down around 12% on the back of poor fourth-quarter results. The television broadcaster posted a net loss of Rs10.1 crore in the quarter ended 31 March compared with a net profit of Rs8.12 crore in the year-ago period.
Pyramid Saimira (15.86% down)
The Pyramid Saimira stock ended down 15.86% after the exchanges said that trading in the stock will be suspended with effect from 1 June as the firm failed to respond to a stock exchange notice for non-compliance with provisions of the listing agreement.
