Mumbai: Capital markets regulator Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) on Tuesday lifted the trading ban on 33 promoter entities of Gujarat Heavy Chemicals Ltd (GHCL) for misreporting the shareholding pattern of its promoters.
The regulator has not lifted the ban on GHCL’s chairman Sanjay Dalmia, managing director Ravi Shankar Jalan and company secretary Bhuwneshwar Mishra from trading in the markets.
In an ex parte order, Sebi had on 20 April indefinitely banned GHCL and its promoters from trading.
The regulator said the firm had misreported shareholding details of its promoters in its 2008 quarterly filings with the stock exchanges.
